You said the first set was all one colour and the eye would glaze over. You were right, and it was my instruction that caused it. Every Place now has its own. Nothing about the drawings changed: these are recolours of the shapes you already approved.
All 22 drawings redone. Shown on the real page cream, so you are seeing the actual contrast rather than a mock-up.
Underneath each is its colour and what it does when tapped. The eight that open have a door that moves and an inside drawn behind it; the six that swell puff up as though too full.

Your colour file gives terracotta one job: "primary actions, the one thing the eye should find". When you picked the characters' colours you deliberately refused terracotta for them, because a creature wearing the button colour competes with every real button on screen.
I had then put terracotta on all fourteen tiles. No Place now takes it as its identity. It survives only where it is genuinely the material: roof tiles and plant pots.
I flagged these as too alike, then assigned both of them a green, which made it worse. The allotment is now unmistakably an allotment site: numbered plots side by side, a shared shed, and a slate blue-grey structure instead of green.

A staircase is mostly pale by nature, so it stayed cream-on-cream even after the recolour. It now has a deep teal stair runner and a walnut handrail. It is still the quietest of the fourteen, and if it bothers you at real size the honest fix is a stronger cupboard door.

Each one keeps its colour on both sides, which matters: if the shut and open versions were different colours the icon would appear to change identity halfway through opening.

Six of the eight hold the object perfectly still and move only the door, which is what an animation needs. The car and the van are drawn from a slightly different angle when open, so the whole vehicle shifts. Left alone those two can only fade between two pictures instead of swinging a door. One redraw each fixes it, and it is not done because whether it bothers you at tile size is your call.
What these still are not. Decision-quality drawings in
design/assets-wip/. Nothing is in the app: assets/ is still empty, and each
one needs converting to the right file type and a licence row before it ships.
